PATZI JEWEL CARE
Our jewels are handmade, and we do make them with a lot of love and care.
In case you acquired one of our jewels, we hope you will cherish them, use and enjoy as many times as you wish to do so. We ask your special attention in this chapter, so that you can prolong your satisfaction, thus contributing to extend the preservation and conservation of your jewel.
Using our jewels requires care and attention, as the metals we use are soft and are subjected to a natural wear and tear both mechanical and chemical.
Mechanical wear and tear usually occur by abrasion and takes place when the jewel is in contact with other materials of an abrasive or hard nature (mechanical agents)
Chemical wear and tear occurs when the jewel interacts with chemical products(Chemical agents). In the specific case of silver, we call your attention that jewels that contain this metal, may tarnish and oxidise with time, mainly when this enters in contact with agents such as perfumes, chlorine, salt water, make-up, beauty creams, solar protectors and aggressive cleaning products.
In certain cases, our jewels are subjected to gold plating, white rhodium plating, black rhodium plating and other plating materials deposited by galvanization. These same agents, being mechanical or chemical may affect these plating effects in such a way that they may disappear with time.
The progression of the effects caused by these agents, will be worsened the lesser attention you give to the following recommendations regarding the care of your jewels:
